Technology has been a part of my life for more than three decades. I started my own IT consulting work right out of high school and have been working with computers, networks, and digital systems ever since.
For more than 30 years I have worked in information technology, helping individuals and organizations understand and solve technology problems.
Over the past 25 plus years my work expanded into digital forensics, the process of recovering, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence from computers, phones, and storage devices.
During that time I helped build and operate a fully functioning digital forensics lab supporting real investigations and legal matters. That work required careful documentation, disciplined procedures, and the ability to clearly explain technical findings when the details actually matter.
I hold the Certified Forensic Computer Examiner credential, commonly known as CFCE, which focuses on the proper handling and analysis of digital evidence.
What I Do Today

Examining computers, phones, and storage devices to determine what activity occurred and preserve that information properly.

Recovering files from damaged drives, failed storage devices, and accidental deletions.
Computer Support
Helping people fix systems that have become slow, unstable, or infected with malware.
Digital Forensics Consulting
Helping organizations design and build digital forensics capability including lab setup, workflow design, and investigative procedures.
Author
I am also the author of the book Behind the Curtain of Digital Forensics. The book explains how digital evidence is handled from the moment a device is seized through analysis and courtroom use.
It is written to help people understand what actually happens behind the scenes in digital investigations and why the process matters.
Outside of technology, I am a husband and father who enjoys building things, solving problems, and helping people understand how technology actually works.
Technology moves fast, but the fundamentals do not change. Take the time to do things correctly, document what you find, and be able to stand behind your work.
